The big problem I have with this mock is that there are no trades. Any credibility this mock had was lost when Eric Berry, the consensus #2 pick, fell to #11 and nobody traded up for him. Gerald McCoy falling to #10 is similarly unrealistic, as is no team from #3-#6 trading up with St. Louis to get Suh, which would work out because no team in that range is going to take Locker even if he’s available. As well, I really doubt Ryan Mallett declares unless he’s a sure-fire first round pick. What would he have to gain by coming out during such a quarterback-heavy draft?
Lastly, I doubt Tebow makes the top 10, especially to a team like Seattle who aren’t known for taking risks with high picks.
Trades? really? that makes me lose credibility? I NEVER project trades. they are way too unpredictable even the day before the draft. So while I agree people owuld trade up for those guys… I don’t project trades. So deal with it.
As a Tampa fan, I would be ecstatic if this actually went down!! You are spot-on w/ the Bucs’ needs in this draft!! Kudos!!
Hey Scott! Being an Eagles fan AAAAAND a Rutgers alum I absolutely love the prospect of landing Anthony Davis if he declares. The only problem is, the Eagles have the highest paid OT in the league with Jason Peters, and a RT they just gave an extension and starters money to only a couple weeks ago. Unless they move Davis inside to guard (which he dominated at as a true freshman) I don’t know if the F/O goes that direction. Good mock otherwise.
