Holder’s Expedition for MVP – 11.19
Too many people have fallen in love with the term, “Race for MVP”, and so I bring you the first ever “Expedition for MVP”. Let’s be honest here, we are searching for the MVP of the year, not racing him. Bad pun? Let’s move on.
Welcome to the first rankings in Holder’s Expedition for MVP. The candidates have carefully been chosen and everything has been taken into account, from points per game, field goal percentages, dashing good looks, and miscellaneous statistics.
Let’s get to it.

1.Joe Johnson
The Hawks are the hottest team in the NBA right now, and if it wasn’t for Joe Johnson, they would be closer to holding a record similar to the Wiz Kidz. JJ is averaging 23.0 pts, 5.6 reb, 4.8 ast, and enough leadership to hold the #1 spot.
2.Dirk Nowitzki
This man is playing like a machine, and while his stats aren’t eye popping (26.3 pts, 9.0 reb, 2.8 ast), you’ll have to watch a Mavs game to understand why he’s this high up. Back to back winning shots in OT also help.
3.Steve Nash
Nash has the Suns moving in rhythm and playing the way they had always aspired to. Averaging 17.2 pts, 2.9 reb, and 11.9 ast, Nash is the only consistency the Suns have received this season.
4.Kobe Bryant
Without Kobe Bryant, the Lakers are doomed. On days when he sucks, the Lakers lose, but when he scores like he should, the Lakers dominate. He’s scoring an amazing 31.0 pts, while still grabbing 4.8 reb and dishing 2.9 ast per game. Lakers fans, you better wish he stays healthy.
5.LeBron James
King James hasn’t had a quiet season, but he also hasn’t had that great of a season. He’s averaging nearly a triple double (27.8 pts, 7.0 reb, 8.0 ast), but King James has had hit or miss games. After losing three out of give then winning five in a row, he failed to show up in the 4th quarter to save his team from defeat.
