Last Season Recap: (86-76, 3rd in NL East) The Braves had a solid season – the starting rotation is impressive, and their lineup seems like it should have done better. They just didn’t really have a serious power threat in their lineup. Chipper is slowing down fast, McLouth can’t fill the 4 hole, and McCann is stellar but needs some help in the lineup of young, talented players.
Key Additions: Billy Wagner (RP), Takashi Saito (RP), Melky Cabrera (OF), Troy Glaus (3B), Eric Hinske (RF)

Can Billy Wagner solve Atlanta's bullpen issues?
Key Losses: Mike Gonzalez (RP), Ryan Church (RF), Kelly Johnson (2B)
Batting: With the additions to the lineup, this could be a scary team for Cox’s last hurrah…if they are healthy, and that is a big if, especially at the corners. Glaus brings much needed power, this team should be able to score some runs (again, if healthy).
Pitching: Jair Jurrjens and Tommy Hanson are two of the best young pitchers in the game, and they are complemented nicely by the vets Derek Lowe and Tim Hudson. That’s a scary starting rotation, and if Billy Wagner is back in shape, closing games won’t be too much of a headache.
Summary: They had to address some issues, and they did. A plethora of additions to the roster will change the look of the Braves significantly, we’ll see if it’s for the better
Prediction: 79-83; 4th in the NL East
