The Orioles are not far from actually competing with the Red Sox, Yankees, and Rays, but they are not quite there yet. They are still in a rebuilding mode, and they are waiting for the prospects in the minor league farm system to fully develop. They made some good additions this offseason, so they should be able to avoid the AL East cellar.
